Day 1
Arrival in Quito
Upon arrival in Quito, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Settle into a refined atmosphere and enjoy your first introduction to Ecuadorian hospitality. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the surroundings or enjoy a curated dinner featuring local flavors. Overnight in Quito.
Day 2
Quito – Cloud Forest (Maquipucuna Reserve)
After breakfast, depart Quito towards the Chocó Andino Biosphere Reserve. As you descend into the cloud forest, the landscape transforms into a lush ecosystem filled with endemic flora and fauna. Upon arrival at Maquipucuna Reserve, enjoy lunch followed by a guided walk through forest trails, discovering rivers, waterfalls, and birdlife. Dinner and overnight at Maquipucuna.
Day 3
Cloud Forest Exploration – Spectacled Bear Habitat
After breakfast, continue exploring the reserve with guided hikes through primary forest. This area is known for sightings of the spectacled bear (seasonal), along with incredible biodiversity. Walk along rivers, visit waterfalls, and learn about conservation efforts. Dinner and overnight at Maquipucuna.
Day 4
Return to Quito – Historic Center
After breakfast, return to Quito. In the afternoon, explore Quito's Historic Center, the first UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit iconic churches, walk through colonial streets, and experience the city's rich cultural heritage. Overnight in Quito or end of services.
